“How to submit your videos to video sites”

Success comes in steps. In marketing, these small steps that need to be taken over and over. But we all have limited time, so automation is the key to success, for both accomplishing these small steps and generating more sales.

For example, if you create articles, videos or podcasts and upload them to sites like youtube, Veoh, Metacafe, Dailymotion, it will take just a few minutes for each submission, but if you’re making videos on a regular basis, that time really adds up. If you have 4 videos per week to upload, and 15 sites to upload them to, at 2 minutes per site, you see the time adds up.

So the goal of this article will provide solutions if you need to create and upload videos to services like youtube.

So, what are your video uploading solutions?

1. Signing up for an online service that does it automatically.

2. Outsourcing to individuals or small companies.

Online Services:

A great option is to sign up with a company that offers this service. The service is usually automated through software either loaded on your computer or run from the Internet. Free services are great places to start, such as TubeMogul, but you may need more flexibility and power, so you may consider paid services. As with all services, the paid services charge fees because they usually offer more value. Such programs can be found at sites such as Video Upload Pro, Upload Video Pro and TubeMogul. One of the most powerful programs is Traffic Geyser. Another is PushButtonProfits. The PushButtonProfits software allows you to submit your Videos, Articles, Podcasts, and Press Releases all in one easy location.

As we said, most of these programs charge by the month for their services, but you can pay for the service for one month and review your results. Another better option is to see if they offer a trial period, say $1.00 for 30 days. At this time, PushButtonProfits offers a $1.00 trial period offer that you might want to utilize.

Outsourcing:

Next, outsourcing to an individual or company is a good option. You can request bids for the work being completed, or post what you will pay and review resumes. You can visit sites like www.elance.com or www.freelance.com to find the right company or person. Just remember to never pay in full until work is completed and consider a legal contract, or placing the money in escrow until completed, or both!

Finally, while doing this research, I found another interesting option. It may not be for everyone, but ArticleVideoRobot.com submits your videos to 17 different video sites automatically AFTER it helps you create the videos. I say it may not be for everyone because their service takes text and images you enter into their web site, and converts it to a video complete with voice! So you basically type up what you want to say, choose a voice you like, add pictures and headlines where you want them, click a button, and the service creates a video for you, live with voice and pictures. The quality of the text to speech is actually quite good. The then service uploads the videos to 17 of the most popular vide sharing sites. This option is mainly for people who want to create “How to videos” or instructional and upload them to youtube and similar sites.
So now that you know your options for uploading videos to Video Sharing sites, go for it!

Let’s start with Web Sites and Blogs.

So you want to generate more sales on the Internet, and you’re asking how you get started, and what tools to use. One person tells you to build a Web Site and another says to build a Blog. Let’s talk about that.

Let’s start with the benefits of a Web Site. Keep in mind you may not need every one of these options, but a web site or blog is a necessity for almost every business today.

A Web Site will:

• Allow you to expand your geographic sales area (possibly worldwide).
• Allow you to avoid the cost of a new physical business location to expand.
• Allow you to decrease the cost of distributing product information.
• Allow you to make more sales with less effort on your part.
• Allow you to offer better product information to prospects.
• Allow you to decrease the cost of distributing product information.
• Allow you to distribute business documents and manuals inexpensively
• Allow you to request and receive feedback on your business.
• Allow you to offer better before and after the sale support.
• Allow you to reduce the cost of your sales force.
• Allow you to drop ship products and services from your “Electronic Warehouse

And so much more. Now, a Blog can do much of this as well. So what is the difference between Blog and a Web Site? Let’s talk specifics.

What is a Web Site?

A Web Site is simply your location (e.g. www.yourwebsite.com) on the Internet where you promote your products and services, accept payments for your products and services, provide support after the  sales, build a mailing list and then market additional products and services through the use of your mailing list that you’ve built.

What is a Blog Site?

A Blog is similar to an online journal. You are simply adding new bits of news or your thoughts to the Blog like you would add events or ideas to a personal journal. The main difference over a personal diary is that with a Blog, you could potentially have hundreds, thousands or more people regularly reading your Blog, interested in what you have to say.

A blog is great for offering reviews or news about products, services or an industry, to generate credibility. Most importantly, a Blog helps you to easily make new contacts which can then generate sales either on your blog or on your Web Site if you have a Web Site. A Blog can also help you build your mailing list so you can then also market to that list to generate sales.

Actually, many people now use Blogging software to create their web sites, and that may be an option for you. WordPress is a FREE, powerful software package that offers many benefits.

• The software is free (you’ll need a good host that offers it).
• Authors have created many themes (free/paid layouts) so you can change the look of a blog quickly and easily.
• Authors have created many plugins (free/paid software that goes with WordPress) to help with hundreds of tasks.

A few of the ways plugins help:

• Search engine optimization.
• Feedback from readers.
• Accepting sales.
• Accepting donations
• Adding Adsense code to the site to generate income from ads.

So, which do you need, or do you need both?

That depends on you! Perhaps you need both!

An e-mail responder will:

• Provide a way for you to build a mailing list.
• Provide a way for you to contact that list regularly.

But what is an e-mail responder, and is it really like having another employee?

An e-mail responder is simply a computer that waits 24 hours per day for requests for information. Then it sends out either one e-mail to the persons requesting information, or it sends out a series of e-mails that I have prepared ahead of time. So I can set it up to send one reply within 2 minutes of the request, or I can stretch out a series of newsletters over the next few months, a year or years.

And yes, it is like having another employee.

Actually, I call my e-mail responder my best employee. The e-mail responder sends out my newsletters (and other one-time documents too) at regularly scheduled appointments, starting at only $20 per month.

In addition, my e-mail responder does not:

• Complain.
• Ask for raises.
• Miss work for any reason.
• Quit so I have rehire and retrain new employees.

Do you like being surprised with new leads? Try writing articles!

Do you like surprises? Especially business leads that you did not expect? If so, try writing articles and posting them on your site and other web sites, as well as in industry related e-zines.

Many businesses have found writing articles is an inexpensive way to drive targeted traffic to your web site or blog. But the real key to success is knowing where to place the articles once you have them completed.

Here are the 4 main places to post your articles. I’ll be adding more article submission sites to the business resources directory at http://www.thewebtoolsguy.com

Now, here are the places to submit your articles.

1. Place your articles on your own blog or web site.

Placing regular, quality articles on your own web site or blog will help keep readers coming back over and over. It takes time to build trust and relationships until they become paying customers.

In addition, consistent, quality articles on your blog or web site will also help you rank higher in the search engines, resulting in additional traffic and sales. Be sure to add a good description of the post as well as adding good key words in the post with the search engines in mind.

2. Place your articles in other people’s blogs or web sites.

The owners of blogs and web sites are always looking for good, related content for their sites. It provides content for them and you an opportunity to show off your knowledge.

In addition, be sure to include a tag line at the bottom of the article telling about you and providing a link back to your web site. Again, this is good for building your reputation and as important, links on other sites to your site builds your search engine ranking for more traffic and sales.

3. Place your articles in  related electronic newsletters (e-zines).

Of course there dozens of sites to submit your articles, but I advise you to simply start with one site, ezinearticles.com, and then submit them to additional sites after you see which types of articles work for you.

You can find e-zines for just about any topic, including yours. Most will accept your articles for free, so your main goal is to find related, targeted e-zines, and get your articles in them.

I still make sales of my products and services from articles I wrote years back, which are on other people’s web sites, blogs and e-zines. Trust me, this plan works, if you work it.

Here is one example of an article I wrote years ago which still pulls leads to my site: Just go to Google.com (yes, the #1 search engine) and type in “10+ reasons to convert your newsletter to PDF” and you’ll see the article on sites I did not even submit to!

Again, I would start by submitting articles to ezinearticles.com and move forward from there.

4. Use your articles to create a free report or free e-book to build your mailing list.

If you write well enough on a good topic, you might even be able to sell the report or e-book. Building your mailing list should be your main priority for your business, so you can market to your prospects over and over, for years into the future. It is much less expensive to sell to current clients than it is to find new clients. Be sure to include reviews of related products in your e-book, along with links on where they can purchase them to earn income for you!

Offering your newsletter in PDF format can increase readership, the amount of time your newsletter stays on your client’s desktop, visits to your web site and your income. PDF stands for Portable Document Format, which allows all computer users to read your documents.

Many well-known authors and companies now offer their newsletters to PDF format. Here are some of their reasons for doing so.

1. Readers can easily save your newsletter to their desktop for future reference. A PDF newsletter saved on the desktop is not so easily forgotten and allows people to read your newsletter wherever they are, at any time. Even in the future.
